Jul 23: ICT Sharing with China Educators

A team of 9 education representatives from several municipals of China visited Dunman High School on 24 July 2012 to learn more about the school’s ICT infrastructure and its experiences in integrating technology in teaching and learning. The visit was facilitated by Oracle Education Foundation, Asia Pacific. Head ICT Mr Yeo Meng Han shared with the visitors on the blueprint, support and culture of the school’s ICT vision, and Computing Teacher Mr Gi Soong Chee shared its DHP Computing curriculum offerings.
The first place 19 & under ThinkQuest Projects category team for the ThinkQuest International Competition 2012 organised by Oracle Education Foundation, consisting of 12Y6C23 Samantha Siau Jing Wen, 12Y6C23 Wong Jie Ying Felicia, 12Y6C23 Liu Yidan and 12Y6C23 Kit Wei Min, also presented their winning project to the China educators, and impressed with their aspiration to care, serve and lead through creatively solving the real life global problem of world hunger by harnessing the potential of technology.
The visiting guests were then led on a guided tour of the school. The visit was an enriching learning experience with a wide range of ideas and views exchanged which benefited both parties.
