The Dunman High Water Education Programme

A resource centre for projects, activities and conferences on water in Singapore.

Introduction

The DHWEP hopes to educate our students on water related issues, its vital importance in our environment and our everyday lives.

As a topic, water is a powerful vehicle for learning about a range of concepts and issues within science and social sciences curriculum. It is a real-life topic and one to which all students can relate. The knowledge, skills, values and actions linked with the topic of water are diverse and significant. There are many opportunities for experiential learning and for the integration of a range of subject areas.

In recent years, Dunman High conducted many water related interdisciplinary projects and activities for the different levels. These programmes and activities can be modified to meet the different learning needs of students.

This website hopes to ignite greater desire to do more to educate our young on this previous resource.

The goal of the DHWEP is to facilitate and promote the awareness and sensitivity, knowledge, attitudes, skills and stewardship of water resources through the development and dissemination of classroom ready teaching packages.
